The wildflowers at Fort Hill in Eastham on the National Seashore on Cape Cod are breathtaking! Everywhere you turn there are colorful wildflowers.
I went for a walk there a few days ago and the wildflowers were amazing. Today, there are more than 6 varieties of wildflowers that were not out a few days ago. I just happily clicked away!
Don’t miss Fort Hill on the National Seashore if you are on Cape Cod this summer. It is spectacular!
This Red-Bellied Woodpecker certainly enjoyed the dish of grape jelly at our home the other day. Baltimore Orioles are supposed to eat grape jelly, not all of the other birds. But, I guess when you have a choice of bird seed, suet or grape jelly, they all like the grape jelly the best!
One of my favorite bike rides here on Cape Cod is the Cape Cod Bike Trail to the Salt Pond Visitor’s Center and then out to Coast Guard Beach. It takes in everything. You can see the salt marshes, the kettle ponds, the woods, the meadows, the beach and much more.
I bumped into a man on the wooden bridge over the salt marsh the other day and I said to him, “Beautiful view, huh?” He replied, “Everywhere you turn there are beautiful views here on Cape Cod! I haven’t seen a bad view yet!” How true!
When I get to Coast Guard Beach, there are some benches and a picnic table to sit and relax. It doesn’t get much better!
It was a glorious day for the 4th of July parade in Orleans on Cape Cod. There were thousands of excited people waiting for all of the floats to pass by.
This first photograph is of the orleans baseball team, the Firebirds. They were having a great time as everyone was cheering them on.
