Yesterday was one of those “Top 10” days here at Coast Guard Beach on Cape Cod. It was sunny and warm with a light breeze and just perfect! The parking lot was packed!
You can see how Coast Guard is continually voted as one of the Top 10 Beaches in the USA. It doesn’t get much prettier!
It was a rainy day last weekend when we stopped to see if there were any birds at Boat Meadow Beach. An there, on the mud flats, was a group (also called a “wedge”) of Egrets just hanging out.
What a sight to see all of these Cormorants enjoying their time on this Sunfish which was waiting to be taken out for the season. There was even a Cormorant standing on the mooring and more of them just swimming around anxious for that precious space to open up.
All I could think of was that I hope whoever owns this boat brought a big brush to clean it off. Or maybe just flip it over! The Cormorants were loving it!
We’ve had some really high tides and some really low tides lately on Cape Cod. You can see all of the boats left on the sand until the water starts to rise again.
I loved the photo, what do you think? So typical Cape Cod…
This was such a pretty sunset at First Encounter Beach. The parking lot was packed as everyone waited around for that moment when the sun dips below the horizon.
I loved all of the reflections on the water. What do you think?
