After being woken up by booming thunder and huge flashes of lightning at 4:00 am, the skies cleared and it turned out to be one of the nicest days we’ve ever seen at Coast Guard Beach. The temps were in the mid 60s with a slight breeze, and the waves were huge and gorgeous. It was definitely one of those “pinch me” days!

The steps don’t look anything like this anymore and you won’t see any umbrellas and sunbathers down there for quite a while. It is truly amazing what Mother Nature is capable of doing.
