The wind has been blowing this winter, that’s for sure! It makes for some big waves at Coast Guard Beach. This is always such a pretty view looking down the path toward the beach.
Yesterday morning was one of those days when you looked outside the window, it looked gorgeous. But when you went outside, it was frigid. The temp was 34 degrees but with 35 mph winds, it was pretty cold.
I thought a walk in the woods at Wiley Park might be a bit warmer. It definitely was, but the biggest surprise was when I got to the beach, it was secluded from the wind and was quite warm. No wind, no waves… ahhhh… perfect!
I always seem to take the same iconic photograph at the overlook at Marconi Beach. I tried a different angle this time and I think I like it. You can see the broken down fence right at the edge of the dune.
The storm a couple of days ago brought some big waves and high tides to Cape Cod Bay. You can see the waves crashing on the shore at Rock Harbor. I really liked this photograph of the bench and the rocks on the beach.
The tide was so high and the waves were cranking at Rock Harbor yesterday morning. You could see that the beach grass had washed all the way up to the middle of the parking lot. Wow!
It’s just so amazing to see waves that big on Cape Cod Bay! You can see the waves crashing on the jetty.
