It was a gorgeous morning to take a walk on Boat Meadow Beach. I almost missed this little Semi-palmated Plover and Sandpipers scurrying about on the mud flats looking for food. (Click on blog link for other photo.) They blended in so well with the sand and mud.
Have you ever seen a Semi-palpated Plover? Pretty bird!
There is always so much to see at Hemenway Landing, whether it be kayakers setting out for a nice paddle or fishing boats coming back in from a long day of fishing.
Or, just looking out and seeing these boats at Nauset Marsh with Coast Guard Station in the distance. So pretty…
I looked outside when the sun was starting to set and the sky was turning a beautiful shade of pink. I jumped in the car and headed down to the salt marsh. It was worth it! Just gorgeous!
When we first moved here, we never saw anyone on this path or on the beach nearby. Many people now have discovered its beauty. It’s still one of my favorites!
Mother Nature sure has been busy by Nauset Spit on Coast Guard Beach. As you walk down toward the spit, the beach looks absolutely humongous! There is so much sand. (Click on blog link for other photos.)
You can see there are little pools that lead into little rivers that get filled at high tide. It looks so different. At the very end by the spit, don’t try to walk around to the marsh side at high tide, as the water comes right up to the dunes.
Have you taken a walk on Coast Guard Beach lately? Always so beautiful and constantly changing!
