With all of the winter erosion on the Cape Cod coast, it is best not to walk on the dunes. Hopefully the beach grass will grow back and help mitigate the erosion.

Sandbar…Just For A Bit At Rock Harbor On Cape Cod.
When it’s low tide on the bay side of Cape Cod, the tide swings are just amazing. It feels like you can walk out for miles. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I was on the Eastham side of Rock Harbor, enjoying a nice walk on the beach when this family on the sandbar caught my eye. They were having such a good time.
And then when I looked back over 5 minutes later, they were gone as was almost the entire sandbar.

High Tide And Low Tide On Cape Cod Bay.
It makes such a difference if you take a photograph at high tide or low tide on Cape Cod Bay. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I took this first photograph at low tide at Boat Meadow Beach. You can see all the green sea grass that comes out at low tide as well as the huge sand bars with the boats sitting on top of the sand.
I took the 2nd photograph the following day at high tide. Such a completely different feeling, don’t you think?
