The picnic tables are out and the umbrellas are up at Mac’s on the Pier…. waiting for all of those hungry people to fill up those seats.
The picnic tables are open to the public so anyone with a picnic is able to sit and enjoy the ambience and the spectacular view of Wellfleet Harbor. You can even see Jeremy Point way in the distance.
Have you ever had a picnic at Wellfleet Harbor? The views don’t get much better!
This is the perfect commemoration of Memorial Day with the American flag made of seashells from Cape Cod beaches… painted red, white and blue.
There is a little sign nearby that says that this flag has been there since 1976 which is 46 years. Wow! A lot of love and care has gone into making this shell flag so pretty for so long.
Happy Memorial Day to you all and thank you to everyone who has fought for our country! This is your special day.
The big blue chair is out and ready as is the beach mat on the sand… waiting for all of those anxious beach lovers and Provincetown lovers to take advantage of! Summer is almost here and everyone is so excited! There are even some sailboats in the harbor to enhance your P’Town experience!
There is quite a bit of sand at Nauset Beach that has washed in or gotten blown in over the winter. You can see how the middle hand railing in the first photograph, looking out toward the water, is pretty much covered by sand. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
In the 2nd photograph which is looking back toward the parking lot from the water, you can see how deep the sand is. Wow!
