You can hardly see where the jetty is on the Eastham side of Rock Harbor. It’s been so cold and there is so much ice on the bay, that it’s hard to even see the jetty, especially at high tide.
But such a pretty photo, don’t you think? I love the ice all around… it looks so cold!
It was pretty cool looking out on Cape Cod Bay and seeing all of the ice chunks that had broken apart bobbing in the water. If you stared long enough, they were almost mesmerizing as they went up and down…
Coast Guard Beach is gorgeous any time of the year, but I especially love winter, walking the beach with no one else around. Solitude and peace…. It doesn’t get much better!
