I was so surprised how many boats had been taken out of the water this week at Meetinghouse Pond in Orleans on Cape Cod. Wow!
They are stacked pretty high! I wonder if they will stay that way for the winter or if they have another “home” for the cold winter. Does anyone know what they do with all the boats?
With all of the high winds and rain from the recents storms on Cape Cod the past few days, the waves are humungous!
I drove down to the beach and to get a few photographs. It was so windy that I had to hold on to the railing as I clicked away with my iPhone. I was too afraid to take my camera out with the wind and spraying salt water.
You can see how high the water is in this photograph of Nauset Light Beach…it is all the way up to the dunes and it isn’t even high tide yet.
There is nothing like being at the beach in a windy rainstorm!
The Hydrangeas are blooming and magnificent on Cape Cod!
When we lived in Colorado, most of the flowers had died off by mid to late August, so this is such a treat to not only see flowers in September but some are just starting to bloom.
I was taking a walk down by Nauset Beach in Orleans when I saw this Hydrangea by the side of the road. I thought it was exquisite! The colors are just amazing.
