“The crabs live in the ocean year-round but come ashore like clockwork every year between the May and June full moons to mate and lay eggs.” The ones that I saw looked pretty old with lots of seaweed and barnacles growing on their shells.
This Seagull was enjoying his little respite on the empty mooring at Hemenway Landing. Pretty soon the fisherman would be back to claim his mooring and the Seagull would have to give up his perfect spot.
The sky was just gorgeous this particular morning at Fort Hill. And then with the rock wall, it made for a beautiful landscape. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

Yesterday was the day for these two fishermen to load up their oyster cages and bring them out to the waters of Nauset Marsh. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
We couldn’t believe how many cages they could load into their boat. Wow! So much hard work for these dedicated fishermen on such a cold and windy day.
We headed out on Coast Guard Beach toward Nauset Light Beach and were surprised to see so many rocks along the way. We hadn’t walked that way in a long while. I wonder how far the rocks go…
