The little, white Lilies of the Valley are blooming all over the trails on Cape Cod. You might see one here or there and then a whole group of them which is so pretty. Such pretty little bell-shaped flowers hanging from the stalk.
Have you seen any Lilies of the Valley wildflowers this year?
This is such a pretty little boathouse along the river by the Salt Pond in Eastham. The colors that day were just perfect. I took 2 photographs… one a little farther away and the other one closer..
The butterflies are back on Cape Cod and so much fun to try and photograph although they are not always cooperative! This little Pearl Crescent was flitting from flower to flower so I was able to get a couple of good photos. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
The Pearl Crescent is a small butterfly with a wingspan of only 1 to 1 1/2″. It is orange with black borders and scattered black markings. You can find them in open areas, including meadows, fields and roadsides. Have you ever seen a Pearl Crescent?
I love springtime here on Cape Cod as the leaves are starting to come out and the colors are so vibrant. This was such a pretty scene at the pond by Beech Forest Trail. It seems like every time we go there, there is something new and exciting to see!
The Wild Roses are starting to bloom on the beach trails here on Cape Cod. They are so pretty in their shades of pink and white and lend to the ambiance of a Cape Cod beach.
So Cape Cod…
