We were so surprised to see so many seals still swimming around at Coast Guard Beach the other day. They were pretty close to shore. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
It was low tide so we walked down the beach to Nauset Spit where we saw a huge sandbar covered with hundreds of seals. And were they making a racket! You could hear them from far away!
I wanted to post something a little “Halloweeny” and came up with a black and white photograph of this Willett yacking away high in the tree. I loved his silhouette.
This little Downy Woodpecker not only loves our suet feeder, but also frequents our sunflower seed feeder. I love to watch them scurry up the trees as they call out, “pik, pik.”
This fall has been just gorgeous for hiking here on Cape Cod. We’ve had warm temps, sunny skies and breezy winds. Fort Hill was especially pretty this day, don’t you think? Love those clouds!
