We were taking a ride the other day when Phil suddenly stopped the car. He said there was something in the road and wondered what it was. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
As we back up, I jumped out and saw this Eastern Box Turtle in the middle of the road. It was about 6-7″ in diameter and was huddled all inside his shell, as we must have scared him driving by.
I carefully picked it up and put it in the woods by the side of the road. Thankfully, no other cars had gotten there first. Beautiful little turtle, don’t you think? Look at those patterns on its shell!
If you’ve never hiked at Kent Point, put it on your “to do” list. The trails are so pretty and the views are spectacular. This bridge leads to beautiful views toward Little Pleasant Bay and the river that leads into it.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day here on Cape Cod with sunny skies and warm temps. These 2 kayakers were enjoying their paddle on the salt marsh, especially with the extreme high tide.
These colorful boats at Rock Harbor were so pretty in the sunlight with their reflections on the still waters. It only lasted a few minutes until the winds made ripples and erased their reflections.
Love the colors. What do you think?
