We Saw Our First Red Fox At The Audubon Sanctuary In Wellfleet On Cape Cod

redfoxaudubon

We had our first sighting of a Red Fox at the Audubon Sanctuary in Wellfleet on Cape Cod the other day. He was walking through the woods and then lay down for a nap.

It was pretty cool as we had never seen one here before.

Have you ever seen a Red Fox? Look at that bushy tail!

Huge Purple Parry’s Harebell Wildflower In Orleans On Cape Cod

Parry's-Hairbellblog

I took a double-take when I saw this Parry’s Harebell wildflower on the side of the road in Orleans on Cape Cod. It was huge!

There are also Parry’s Harebell wildflowers out in Colorado but they are only about a 3/4  inch flower. This flower was about 4″ in diameter and about 3 feel tall and so pretty.

Have you ever seen a Parry’s Harebell?

This was such a pretty sunset on Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod a couple of weeks ago.

I loved how the flowers and the sky were almost a matching golden color.

What do you think? I liked it so much I used it as my screen saver!

The Boats At Meetinghouse Pond In Orleans On Cape Cod Are Getting Ready For Winter

boats-stackedblog

I was so surprised how many boats had been taken out of the water this week at Meetinghouse Pond in Orleans on Cape Cod. Wow!

They are stacked pretty high! I wonder if they will stay that way for the winter or if they have another “home” for the cold winter. Does anyone know what they do with all the boats?

The Waves Are Huge On Nauset Beach And Nauset Light Beach On Cape Cod

waves1blog

With all of the high winds and rain from the recents storms on Cape Cod the past few days, the waves are humungous!

I drove down to the beach and to get a few photographs. It was so windy that I had to hold on to the railing as I clicked away with my iPhone. I was too afraid to take my camera out with the wind and spraying salt water.

You can see how high the water is in this photograph of Nauset Light Beach…it is all the way up to the dunes and it isn’t even high tide yet.

There is nothing like being at the beach in a windy rainstorm!
