The sunrise this morning looking out over Hemenway Landing was just beautiful! You can even see the reflection of the clouds on the water. Wow! It doesn’t get much prettier!!

This Sailing Season Is Getting Shorter At Arey’s Pond Boat Yard On Cape Cod.
The sailing season at Arey’s Pond Boat Yard is definitely getting shorter as you can see the beautiful masts which have been taken off of the catboats. These will either be put into storage until next spring or taken inside to varnish or repair over the winter.
Arey’s Pond Boat Yard is a one stop boat yard. Their work is second to none and their boats are just gorgeous. They will haul your boat out in the fall, “de-rig” it, and store the boat and everything with it for the winter. They will repair anything needed and then rig it and put it back in the water in the spring for you to enjoy. It doesn’t get any better!

Twin Little Copper Butterflies On The Doane Rock Trail On Cape Cod.
I was so surprised to see not one, but two of these beautiful Little Copper butterflies on the trail by Coast Guard Beach. I hadn’t seen very many butterflies this past summer and was surprised they were still around. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
Little Copper butterflies are very small with a wing span of only about an inch. Have you ever seen one? Beautiful little butterfly, don’t you think?
It’s Almost Time To Put The Umbrellas Away In Provincetown On Cape Cod.
It’s almost time to put the umbrellas away after an awesome season in Provinctown. The Surf Club Restaurant, at the beginning of MacMillan Wharf, has been enjoyed by many enthusiastic diners.
“The Surf Club has been a household name in Provincetown since the late 1950’s. We are a third-generation local institution, housed in our iconic seaside location, with sweeping views of our wonderful town.
Our atmosphere is all things ocean. Engulfed with sea side sounds and the comings and goings of the pier, combined with hyper local seafood, tasty beverages served by welcoming staff and a community of locals, day trippers, artists and everyone else visits the Surf Club Restaurant for a great drink and a classic New England meal.”
I liked this photograph of the umbrellas all folded up with the stormy sky in the background. Pretty pastel colors, don’t you think? Have you ever been to the Surf Club?
