It is so much fun to hike the trails at Wiley Park during the holiday season. You never know what you’re going to see. (Click on blog link for other photos.)
People have strung ornaments on the trees and bushes along the trails making it look like a holiday wonderland.
Have you hiked Wiley in this holiday season? So cute and so festive!
I’ve seen these Porcelain Berries on many of the trails on Cape Cod this fall in such pretty colors! They are produced by a woody vine in beautiful shades of purple and blue and pink.
When we first drove by Rock Harbor yesterday morning, I could see the huge crane and I thought they were dredging the channel. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
When we went back around lunchtime, I could see that they were pulling out the pilings on the Eastham side of the harbor. You can see the huge piling dangling in the air by the crane. In the 2nd photograph, you can see where the dock and all of the pilings have been already pulled out on the Eastham side.
Does anyone have any idea why? Is it because of the work they will be doing on the Orleans side?
“The Canteen is a casual New England eatery that uses high-quality ingredients to create Cape Cod favorites from scratch. Our menu and style of service is rooted in the tradition of classic seafood shacks, but influenced by modern American cuisine.”
“We believe a restaurant should be more than just a place to eat. We built the Canteen to be a gathering place, a spot where everyone — local or visitor, artists or fisherman, culinary adventurous 8 year-old or fish-and-chips-loving 88 year-old — can find a seat and something great to eat.” Have you ever eaten at The Canteen?
The tides were was pretty high yesterday as you can see the high water by the dock and Harbormaster’s House at Rock Harbor on the Eastham side. You can’t even see the boat ramp. Wow!
