Holiday Model Train At Snows In Orleans On Cape Cod

The holiday model train is awesome once again at Snows in Orleans on Cape Cod. Snows creates beautiful train exhibits for everyone to enjoy.

This time of year, it is the holiday train that is so special and so much fun for the whole family to see.

Snows always has model trains set up year round which the kids (and adults!) love! Come on by, I’m sure it will be up for a while.

Awesome Holiday Lights At The Cottage Bakery In Orleans On Cape Cod

My son was here for a few days and we took a walk around Orleans on Cape Cod one evening looking at the Christmas lights. We decided to vote on which ones we liked best. There were a lot to choose from!

I loved these Christmas lights at the Cottage Bakery that looked like cupcakes. Pretty, don’t you think?

The Rolling Stones in Oil… On Cape Cod!

We are huge Rolling Stones fans! We first saw them in concert in the 90s in Hartford, Connecticut and then in 2006  at a huge outdoor concert. They are truly amazing!

In honor of the Stones’ new album that debuts today, Blue & Lonesome, I thought I would post our new Rolling Stones oil painting. One of our friends in Colorado does wonderful oil paintings of some amazing people including The Stones, Beethoven, Steve Jobs and many, many more. Each one is unique unto itself.

We had been admiring this particular painting of The Rolling Stones for quite a while. So, when we were about to move I said to Phil, “It’s now or never. Do we want this in our new home?” Of course we both said, “YES!” And we love it!

Great painting, don’t you think?

Thousands Of Shipwrecks Off Of Cape Cod

When we went to the Open House at the Coast Guard Station at Coast Guard Beach on Cape Cod last weekend, there was a poster that showed the shipwrecks off of Cape Cod, which we were told was in the thousands. Wow!

This poster is unbelievable, don’t you think? With all of the sand bars and constantly shifting sands, it was very hard to sail around Cape Cod in the early days.
