I knew it was that time of the year when the pink Lady Slippers bloom, so I was on the lookout on the Beech Forest Trail in Provincetown. It was the perfect place for them to grow. And then there it was… on the side of the trail.
So pretty, don’t you think? Have you seen a Lady Slipper this year?
This time of the year, you see Myrtle wherever you go on Cape Cod. It is such a pretty ground cover along the sides of the roads as well as in people’s yards. It adds such a vibrant color. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I took this photograph just walking around the neighborhood. The leaves are a shiny, deep green color while the bluish-purple flowers are about 1″.
The Money Plants are so prolific here on Cape Cod this time of the year. They make a pretty display of pinks and purples along the roadsides. I stopped the other morning on my bike ride and took this photograph. I really liked the fence and fence post with the purple flowers. What do you think?
Out of curiosity… does anyone know how to grow these plants? I have collected seeds for years and planted them in my yard, but they don’t seem to grow. Any suggestions?
The Wild Hyacinth is so vibrant and pretty here on Cape Cod this spring. At this one home, it looked almost like a deep blue carpet. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
These purple Crocuses were so pretty dotting the landscape with some much needed color this time of year. I really liked the angle…. from above looking down. What do you think?
Such vibrant colors!
