Pretty Morning Glory Wildflowers Are Blooming On Cape Cod

The pretty pink and white Morning Glory wildflowers are blooming all over the Cape. I’ve seen quite a few just on the side of the roads or trails.

Most Morning Glory flowers unravel into full bloom in the early morning. By the afternoon, their petals start to curl in for the night.

Have you ever seen a Morning glory? Pretty, don’t you think?

Pretty Blue Star Wildflower At The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

I saw this blue star-shaped wildflower just outside the Visitor’s Center at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary a few days ago. It was so pretty  but I have no idea what kind of wildflower it is.  I’ve looked in my wildflower books and searched on the internet, but to no avail.

Does anyone know what kind of wildflower this Is?? So pretty, don’t you think?

Bladder Campion Wildflowers At Fort Hill On Cape Cod

Bladder Campion wildflowers are abundant along the trails at Fort Hill. I loved this  photograph where you can see the “bladder” so clearly. The  3/4″ white, lobed flowers bloom at night and on overcast days.

The Bladder Campions bloom from June through September, so you still have plenty of time to see them. Interesting wildflower, don’t you think?

Pretty White Canada Mayflower At Hemenway Landing On Cape Cod

I saw this little white Canada Mayflower wildflower a couple of weeks ago at Hemenway Landing by Fort Hill. It is a small woodland plant with tiny 4-petaled flowers clustered on a stem. They only grow 3-6″ in May and June.

I liked the macro of it as you can see its tiny details. So pretty, don’t you think? Have you ever seen a Canada Mayflower?
