The purple wild Myrtle is blooming on many of the trails on the National Seashore. It is such a pretty and delicate flower. I love the tiny yellow center.
Have you seen any Myrtle this spring?
We looked out into our yard yesterday as we were clearing winter brush and branches, and there was a yellow Daffodil right in the middle of the woods. What a treat! I had to walk out to see what it was.
So here is a macro of its beauty and one so you can see how far into the woods it grew without a lot of sunshine.
I thought this would be a fun blog today in that winter has been soooo long and yesterday felt like the first day of spring. And the forecast for today is for sleet and freezing rain with temps in the 30s… Brrrr.
You can see these beautiful red berries all over Cape Cod this time of year. They are so pretty and remind me of the holidays that will soon be here.
I am not sure what kind of bush they grow on, as the berries seem to be in a line on the branch. Can anyone help me identify it?
Thank you for the identification of Winterberries!
I saw this pretty yellow wildflower at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary a few weeks ago. I didn’t know what it was. So I came home and researched my wildflowers books and the internet and I still do not know what kind of wildflower it is.
Can anyone help me with its identification? It would be much appreciated! It is so pretty.
