Old Walkway At Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod?
The past few times we’ve walk Coast Guard Beach, we’ve noticed a platform or walkway starting to emerge from the dunes. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
You can see how close it is to the old path to the beach which is next to the fence on the left.
Does anyone know what used to be there? Was it a walkway? I remember it used to be pretty flat there until just a few years ago when beach erosion really kicked in and the dunes started getting much taller.
Quite The Sky At Fort Hill On Cape Cod!
Marconi Beach Progress On Cape Cod.
We took a ride by Marconi Beach the other day and could see a huge new walkway being erected as you can see in the photo. There were also several signs saying that the beach is closed. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
You can’t see beyond this as there are numerous orange cones telling you to keep out. I wonder what they are building for stairs at Marconi. Does anyone have any idea? Will it look like the last stairs?
