It’s such a treat to see the Bluebirds at the feeders and the birdbath during the winter. This one came along with a few younger ones. I wonder if it was his babies from last summer. Such a beautiful bird…

Beautiful Belted Kingfisher At Rock Harbor On Cape Cod.
Every time I stop at Rock Harbor I hear the cackling call of the Belted Kingfisher but I hadn’t seen him in a while. And then, just the other day, there he was perched on the post searching for lunch in the water below. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I loved watching him search the water and then dive in and get that delicious meal. You can see how focused he is in the 2nd photograph. Have you seen the two Belted Kingfishers at Rock Harbor?
