The Queen Anne’s Lace is blooming everywhere on Cape Cod. It is such a beautiful, delicate wildflower which reminds me of the doilies that my grandmother used to crochet for her tables.
Queen Anne’s Lace is made up of many tiny flowers that form a lacy flat-topped head. They grow from July through September, so you still have plenty of time to see them.
Also known as wild carrot, but by the time the flowers appear the root is too woody to eat.
Evidently butterflies are attracted to the plant.
So says The Google. 🙂
