Cute Little Downey Woodpecker At Our Bird Bath On Cape Cod.

This cute little Downey Woodpecker has been hanging around our back yard all winter. He loves the suet and seeds and our heated bird bath. He is so cute when he takes a drink of water. He looks like he’s holding his head back and gargling. So cute!! Do you have a lot of woodpeckers in your yard?

Head Of The Meadow Beach In Truro On Cape Cod.

When stopping at Head of the Meadow Beach, I saw this sign that says, “Over sandaccess. Permit required.” Where does this sand path/road lead? Can cars go on it? Is it a trail for hiking?

“Snow Knees” On The Beech Forest Trail In Provincetown On Cape Cod?

There are some really cool trees on the Beech Forest Trail in Provincetown.  In Colorado, we used to call them “snow knees” as the snow would come down the mountain and cause many of the trees to bend from the weight and ice. Many ended up just growing this way.

I’m sure these “snow knees” are not caused from snow and ice, but they are pretty cool, nonetheless!
