Marconi Beach In Wellfleet Is Just Gorgeous!

If you hike the White Cedar Swamp Trail in Wellfleet and then take the ramp up to the overlook where the old Marconi Wireless Station used to be, this is what you will see. Pretty spectacular, don’t you think? (Click on blog link for other photograph.)

I took the two photographs with my new iPhone 12 Pro and used the two settings. I couldn’t decide which one  I liked better. What do you think?

White Cedar Swamp Trail In Wellfleet On Cape Cod Was Magical!

I love hiking White Cedar Swamp Trail, especially off-season. Rarely do you see another person, so you have the whole trail to yourself. Once you get to the boardwalk, it becomes magical.

Look at those colors! They are just spectacular! I took these photographs a couple of days ago on a very cloudy day. It always takes my breath away.

Wishing you a Happy and Magical New Year!

Fort Hill on Cape Cod Was Beautiful!

One of our favorite places to hike on Cape Cod, Fort Hill in Eastham, is only a few minutes from our home. Since the Wilderness Volunteers cut back a lot of the brush, the views are spectacular!

This is one of the glacial rocks that has been obscured for years behind the dense brush. Now you can see all the way across Nauset marsh to Coast Guard Station.

So pretty! Thank you again,  Wilderness Volunteers!

Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod… It Doesn’t Get Much Prettier!

Each time we go to the beach, this time Coast Guard Beach, it looks so different. Everything changes so much this time of the year. You could see how high the tide had come in recently. It’s all the way up to the dunes.

I loved this photograph looking down Coast Guard Beach toward Nauset Spit. The sky was just breathtaking! What do you think?

Holiday Family Time At Nauset Beach On Cape Cod!

I love it when my son comes to visit from California for the holidays. It’s so much fun trying to fit everything in that you want to do. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

One of our annual outings is a long walk, or several long walks, on the beach. However when we got up yesterday the forecast was for temps in the low 20s with 35-45 mph winds. Not a good day for a walk on the beach.

So, we braved the cold and the wind for about 5 minutes and ran down to the beach to get a selfie on Nauset Beach. Such a pretty day… but oh, so cold! Look at that wind chill! Brrrr.
