The trails to the beach in Wellfleet are so different and so pretty. These 2 trails lead out to the ocean, opposite the harbor side.
Love the clouds in the background. What do you think?
We’ve driven by this bridge on the way into Wellfleet hundreds of times but never knew you could walk over it. It is a really cool bridge that leads to a little island with hiking trails and lots of benches to enjoy the beautiful views of the salt marsh. I loved the photograph of the bridge going over to the island and then the one walking back to town. So pretty, don’t you think?
What an unexpected surprise to find such a gem right in the middle of Wellfleet! Have you ever walked across Uncle Tim’s Bridge?
The trail to Duck Harbor Beach on the ocean side of Wellfleet was just magnificent. We had never been there before. It’s a short walk over the dunes to the beach where the views of the ocean are breathtaking. You can also see Provincetown in the distance to the right.
Just beautiful, don’t you think?
Le Count Hollow Beach in Wellfleet was another beach that got hammered by the Nor’easter last week. You can walk to the edge of the parking lot and look out but the dunes are really steep and we couldn’t see any trail to descend anymore. There was also a “Danger, Keep Off” sign at the end of the parking lot, discouraging anyone from venturing past the parking lot because of unsafe conditions.
But it was a beautiful day and I loved this photograph of the rock between the sand fences. You can even see a ferry way out in the distance. The bank of clouds just above the horizon was so pretty.
