I love this view of Cape Cod Bay from the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. You take the trail across the boardwalks and out to the beach and this is what you see!
Breathtaking, don’t you think?
I have walked by this structure at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary so many times in the past and never really paid any attention to it. Until the other day…
It is a condo of different types of bird houses! How fun! It will be fun to see what kinds of birds “rent” their space here.
Very cool, don’t you think?
Phil was sitting in the car in the parking lot at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary as I ran inside to make a delivery. As he sat there, this adorable little Tufted Titmouse landed in the flowering tree right above him. The car acted as a blind for him, so he could see the bird but the bird could not see him. He got out his camera and clicked away.
When I got back he showed me these great photographs of the little Tufted Titmouse… and the gorgeous flowering tree as a backdrop!
What a perfect photo-op!
Wishing you all a wonderful Mother’s Day! May you find a few moments to get outside and enjoy a little bit of Mother Nature!
We saw this pretty blue Spring Azure Butterfly while hiking at Fort Hill. It was really difficult to get a photograph of it with its wings open as it was flitting everywhere and very close to the ground.
When it closed up its wings, it looks like a totally different butterfly.
It is a small butterfly with its wingspan 3/4″ to 1 1/4″.
Have you ever seen a Spring Azure butterfly?
