The Pamet Cranberry Bog House In Truro On Cape Cod.

“The Pamet Cranberry Bog consists of three small freshwater bogs, a modified two-story “bog house,” sand pits, and a system of drains, culverts, and other hydrological features that all together were used to produce cranberries for commercial use during the late 19th to mid-20th century.” (Click on blog link for other photo.)

You can hike to the Bog House by taking one of the offshoots of the Pamet Cranberry Trail. Here you can see what were the original cranberry bogs, the bog house and a nearby shed. The front door on the 2nd floor is pretty cool.

Have you ever hiked to the Pamet Cranberry Bog House?

Lobster Pot At Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod: 2 Different Perspectives

As we walked along Coast Guard Beach the other day, we could see a lobster pot had washed ashore near Nauset Spit. (Click on blog link to see other photo.)

I took one photograph in color and Phil took one in black and white. Amazing how different they look!

And They Flew In Just In Time… At Fort Hill On Cape Cod.

Phil and I were having a picnic breakfast at the overlook at Fort Hill yesterday morning when he commented, “I can’t believe we haven’t seen any Egrets yet this year, not even on the salt marsh.” I said, “It is strange because people are posting photos of them.”

Less than a minute later, 6 Egrets flew in and landed at a little pond  right in front of us on Nauset Marsh… unbelievable! There were 3 Great Egrets and 3 Snowy Egrets. Wow!

I quickly got out of the car and walked part way down toward the salt marsh and took a few photographs. I didn’t want to scare them away. So cool….

Wishing you all a Happy Easter and hoping you get to see something special today too!
