It was just me and the seagulls… and the beach and the waves. I loved it! Not a person in sight!
Sometimes the solitude of an off-season walk along Nauset Beach, part of the National Seashore, is just what you need to “soothe the soul!”
We were taking a short hike at Fort Hill on the National Seashore the other day when I saw a lot of commotion out at Nauset Break. I didn’t have my binoculars with me so I zoomed in with my camera and took a few photographs.
When I got home I could see that there were hundreds of birds flying about out there as well as resting on the beaches. I wonder if there was an abundance of fish out there that they were feeding on or why they were there?
Any ideas?
The Shark-Warning Flag was still up at Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod the other day. There must have been a shark spotted somewhere nearby and they are warning people who go in the water.
All of the beaches along the National Seashore use these warning flags which are very helpful to the public.
Friday there were five Great White Sharks spotted at Nauset Beach around noon. There was a warning to surfers to beware! We have seen a lot of seals there lately… which the sharks love to eat.
