The weather was perfect yesterday afternoon with lots of sunshine, a little breeze and big waves at Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod.
At one point there were about 15 surfers all waiting for that perfect wave to ride. The beach was packed with onlookers watching all of the surfers in the middle of February sitting out in the Atlantic Ocean, as well as people enjoying a walk on such a gorgeous day.
Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod has been gorgeous lately, especially with the recent snow. I saw this little snowman that someone had made on the beach and thought it was so cute!
How often do you get to see a snowman on the beach? I’ve never seen one before!
I was surprised to see how much the dunes have eroded at Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod from the storm last weekend. There was not a lot of beach left and it wasn’t even high tide.
It is amazing how the shoreline changes with each season, especially with the pounding storms in the winter.
It was so great to see this elderly couple setting up their beach chairs at Nauset Beach on Cape Cod in the middle of winter just to be able to sit and enjoy the beach. It was a fairly warm day, but with the breezes blowing off of the ocean you still needed your winter jacket.
