Morning Hike On Nauset Trail On Cape Cod.

Yesterday morning was so pretty on  the Nauset Trail by the Salt Pond and Nauset Marsh in Eastham. The forecast was cloudy but we managed to see a few bits of sunshine poke through the clouds.

I thought this photograph was so pretty with the sky so blue. What do you think?

Within a half an hour, there was no sun to be seen.

Fort Hill On Cape Cod Is Awesome Any Time Of The Year!

Fort Hill, part of the National Seashore,  is a wonderful place to go… any time of the year. You can hike or walk or sit on the bench and enjoy those spectacular views of Nauset Marsh.

You can take a walk on the boardwalk across Red Maple Swamp down to Hemenway Landing and see the boats going in or out.

Fort Hill is always a special place… any time of the year.

Great Blue Heron Fishing At Nauset Marsh On Cape Cod.

This Great Blue Heron was fishing for lunch the other day as we walked by on the boardwalk between Doane Rock Trail and Coast Guard Beach. (Click on blog link for other photo.) You can see he has already caught his lunch in the first photograph, while in the 2nd photograph he is trying to catch his meal.

What a great hike! You never know what you will see. There is always something going on by Nauset Marsh. Make sure you look on both sides of the bridge as you walk by. You might even see a Great Blue Heron catching his lunch!.

Fort Hill on Cape Cod Was Beautiful!

One of our favorite places to hike on Cape Cod, Fort Hill in Eastham, is only a few minutes from our home. Since the Wilderness Volunteers cut back a lot of the brush, the views are spectacular!

This is one of the glacial rocks that has been obscured for years behind the dense brush. Now you can see all the way across Nauset marsh to Coast Guard Station.

So pretty! Thank you again,  Wilderness Volunteers!
