If you’re walking to Coast Guard Beach, there’s another little “off-trail” you can take which gives you beautiful views of Nauset Marsh and the back of Coast Guard Station. There is a very pretty little boardwalk (before you get to “the” boardwalk) that you hike across that is adorned with very pretty, bright red Winterberries in the fall and winter.
You can see the trail where the X is on the AllTrails map. Have you ever hiked this little boardwalk?
I always love hiking Little Cliff Pond at Nickerson. It is so pretty and so diverse. You get views of 3 ponds and so much more. There are even many off-trails for you to explore. Have you ever hiked the Little Cliff Pond Trail?
We were taking a nice walk at Kent’s Point a couple of days ago when we saw this sailboat on the grass on the little river by the trail. How did it get there?
It looks like it got loose from its mooring and washed up high on the grass with those huge high tides that we had the past couple of weeks.
But how will it get off of the grass? I sure hope they can do something before the cold and the ice sets in. It looks like a nice sailboat.
