After the snow over the weekend, it was a beautiful day for a hike on the Nauset Marsh Trail. There were a few footprints in the snow, but not too many.
As you round the first bend by the Salt Pond, you can see that the tide was pretty high. Make sure you go left and up at the fork or you’ll need your high rubber boots to get through the water on the trail. It was higher than I’ve ever seen it. Wow!
Wiley Park is one of my favorite places to hike whether it’s summer or winter. I love the soft pine-needle trails and all of the pretty views of the ponds. There is always something new to see.
It was such a treat to wake up to snow the other morning. With temps in the 30s, it was a perfect day for a nice hike. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
There’s nothing like a quiet walk in the woods on a snowy morning.
It was pretty early in the morning when we took this hike on the Beech Forest Trail. You could see the sun over the sand dunes. Such a pretty trail… I never get tired of it!
We were just commenting that things at Fort Hill had been pretty quiet lately, when this big, healthy Coyote strolled by. Phil jumped out of the car and clicked away. (Click on blog link for other photo. )
And then, as we were getting ready to leave, another one appeared on the trail. Wow! Double treat!
