With the white Swan and all of the other water birds diving and dunking, there must be some good fishing at Herring Pond. I watched them for a while as they all stayed together while fishing furiously in the water. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
It looked like a family of birds all hanging out together and fishing together … it really was quite cute!
I never get tired of this view from the road driving from Nauset Light to Coast Guard Beach. And, if no one is around, you might even be able to stop your car and get a good photograph!
It’s been so pretty hiking the snowy trails at Wiley Park the past few days. I’ve even used my hiking poles a few times as it’s been a bit icy in spots, especially the shade. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
There’s nothing like the quiet peacefulness of a hike on a snowy trail with just the crunch of your boots on the snow.
One of my favorite walks is over the salt marsh where you can see the winding creek that goes up and down with the tides. Even in winter with the snow, it is still beautiful.
