It was a glorious day for a picnic on the docks in Provincetown. It’s till early in the season so there is not much traffic.
This is one of my favorite “photo op” places for a photograph… with cooler and drink in hand. It doesn’t get much better!
The Purple Feather on Commercial Street in downtown Provincetown is one place you don’t want to miss! What a fun place!
They have any kind of baked delicacy that you might like, as well as a huge assortment of gelatos and home made fudge. Everything is made right on the premises.
I had to take a photograph of this decadent Jelly Donut. Every time my Dad and I would go out on an little “excursion” he would want to stop for a cup of coffee and a jelly donut. He sure would have loved this one! Wow! Have you ever seen anything like it?
Next time you go to Provincetown, indulge at the Purple Feather and you’ll have a blast!
When the old Town Hall used to be way up on the hill where Pilgrim Monument currently is, burned down in 1877, the only thing that didn’t burn was the safe. They were able to keep it and bring it down to the new Town Hall on Commercial Street downtown. It is really cool to see.
The Provincetown Town Hall has so much memorabilia which is open to the public and fascinating to learn about!
We Napi’s Restaurant in Provincetown is quite the restaurant! Besides having delicious food, it is filled with artwork. The owner, Napi, has been collecting artwork, a lot of it from local artists, for some time and displays it all around his restaurant.
It is fun to see what Provincetown looked like way back when… there were a few shops and lots of trees downtown.
I saw this wonderful native Bristly Sarsaparilla wildflower when we were up in Provincetown last week. It was so pretty and unusual. It has flower clusters at the top of erect, bristly stems and grows 1-3 feet with blooms June and July. The flowers turn into dark blue berries. Pretty cool, huh?
