Beautiful Northern Crescent Butterfly On The Trail At Fort Hill On Cape Cod.

This is the first Northern Crescent butterfly I’ve seen this year and he sure is a beauty! Look at those vibrant colors!

He was hanging out right on the trail as we walked by, and was very accommodating, waiting for us to take our photographs before moving on.

The Willets Are Plentiful And Noisy At Fort Hill On Cape Cod.

There are so many Willets chattering and flying about at Fort Hill. I’ve never seen so many there.
I loved this photograph of this Willet standing on top of the bush with the sun shining on it, just yakking away! The colors and shadows were so pretty. What do you think?

Coyote, Scoping Out The Area, At Fort Hill On Cape Cod.

We frequently see coyotes at Fort Hill, searching about for a meal or just laying down basking in the sun. (Click on blog link for other photos.)

It was a quiet morning when we saw this coyote traverse the entire field and then stop in front of us to look out onto Nauset Marsh, as if scoping out the area for his next meal.
