The lighting was perfect on these Seagulls standing on the sandbar at Skaket Beach as the tide was coming in. It was a dark, cloudy, cold and windy day so when the sun shone on the sandbar and the Seagulls, it was so pretty.

The Many Salt Marsh Plants On Cape Cod.
Merry We were taking a hike at Fort Hill last fall when we passed a group of middle school student on a field trip. Their guide was telling them about the salt marsh and that there are 3 plants that make up a salt marsh.
I thought to myself, “I never knew that. I’ll have to look that up when I get home.” I did some research and I think they are herbs, grasses and low shrubs. Does anyone know if this is correct? There are many, many different varieties of each of these plants.
This is a photograph of Glasswort or Pickleweed. You can see it along the side of the trail on the salt marsh at Fort Hill.
Double-Crested Cormorant At Boat Meadow Creek On Cape Cod.
I saw this Double-crested Cormorant swimming around on Boat Meadow Creek in Eastham a couple of weeks ago. I was surprised that they were still here. It is a diving bird so it was fun to watch it dive under water looking for food.
I loved its reflection and the reflection of the marsh grass in the water. What do you think?
