The channel was not busy yet with boats for the summer season. This lone boat was making its way back to shore at high tide. Boats going in or out of Rock Harbor must proceed within 2 hours of high tide or they risk getting stuck until the tide comes in again.
I thought it was such a pretty photograph with the dark blue sky and white clouds… what do you think?
It was a gorgeous day at Rocky Harbor on Cape Cod. The skies and clouds were spectacular! It was high tide but only a few boats were heading in out of the unique channel with trees as markers. The summer season hasn’t quite started yet.
I saw this juvenile bird near a couple of adult Eiders at Rock Harbor in Orleans, so I presumed it was a juvenile Eider. He was so cute, just swimming around. And then he stared at me. How cute is that!
Can anyone verify if it is indeed a juvenile Eider?
It was a gorgeous day a few weeks ago to take a walk on the beach by Rock Harbor in Orleans on Cape Cod. The clouds were just spectacular as the temperatures were in the high 60s. Unbelievable for February on Cape Cod!
March has been exceptionally cold. We’re waiting for spring…
I’m always scouting out for the perfect picnic spot whether it be on the water or some other scenic place in Cape Cod. These 3 picnic benches are just perfect as they overlook Rock Harbor in Orleans and Cape Cod. Bay.
It doesn’t get much prettier! Can’t wait for our first picnic!
