I love windy days at the beach here on Cape Cod, especially on Coast Guard Beach, part of the National Seashore. You can see the spume blowing from the waves in the wind, and the lone log washed up on the shore.
So pretty, don’t you thinK?
One of my favorite things to do is to take a walk to the beach at low tide, especially to a beach on Cape Cod Bay. It is always so gorgeous and you can walk out on the flats for miles.
It was low tide about 3:00 pm the other day and a perfect day for a walk. When I got to Boat Meadow Beach the clouds were just beautiful. And then I could see the huge rock by Rock Harbor with the sun shining through the clouds above it.
Pretty spectacular, don’t you think? I love how the sun and clouds are reflected in the tidal pool with the rippled sand from the flats in the foreground.
I always love to see the Bluebirds when they come to our yard. They all seem to love to sit by the birdbath, They move as a group, whether they are looking for food, getting a drink or taking a bath. And when one leaves, they all fly away.
This little guy was so cute sitting on the birdbath. I love his coloring. What do you think?
The trees at Fort Hill, on the Cape Cod National Seashore, got hammered in the storm last week. Phil and I were taking a hike on Red Maple Swamp Trail on Saturday and we couldn’t believe how many downed trees we saw. It was mind-boggling to see that many trees down in such a short space. It must have been some sort of microburst.
Unbelievable!
