We were having a picnic breakfast at the beach yesterday when I saw a white “something” way out on beach grass. I had no idea what it was until… I got my binoculars and saw that it was a Snowy Owl. I was so excited! I had never seen one before so it was a first on my Life List!
I walked a little way down the beach so that I could get a better photograph of it, but I didn’t want to get too close. I was lucky as the sun was out and shining on him with the dark water in the background. I took a lot of photographs and this is the one I liked best.
By the time I got back to my car, the sun had gone in and he was in the shadows. I was just at the right place at the right time! Have you ever seen a Snowy Owl?
I love this photograph, looking back toward Commercial Street from Macmillan Wharf, with the Provincetown Public Library in the distance. There are still quite a few boats on the docks.
I loved this photograph of the fence that was installed a few years ago to help stop beach erosion at Nauset Beach. You can see how high the sand has accumulated by the fence.
This little Carolina Wren was loving our bird bath. He was standing right on the wire for the heater. I wonder if he could feel the warmth of the water? Sure is a cute little guy!
This photograph of the rowboat at the pond with its reflection in the water was so simple, yet so pretty. I loved the reflection of the trees in the water.
