There are still quite a few butterflies flying around here on Cape Cod. I saw this Clouded Sulfur butterfly at Fort Hill, feeding on a Knapweed wildflower. I also saw many  Cabbage White butterflies, some Painted Lady butterflies and one Monarch butterfly. I thought the Monarchs had migrated down to Mexico a few weeks ago.
It must be the warm weather and that the wildflowers are still blooming that is keeping them all around.
The paddleboarders are still out and this one was particularly enjoying her paddle around Nauset Marsh. It was a glorious day in the high 60s, before all of the rains came.
What a beautiful place to paddleboard, calm and serene. Love the sun on the water…
It was a spectacular day for a walk at Coast Guard Beach, part of the National Seashore. The weather has been very warm for this time of year, in the 70s and sunny. It feels like early September, not late October.
I loved this photograph of the path leading down to the beach from the Coast Guard Station in the background. What do you think?
I love the hike from the the Visitor’s Center in Eastham around Salt Marsh Pond and then along Nauset Marsh. It’s a wonderful hike along the marsh and then back through the woods.
Last weekend was just beautiful and a perfect day for that hike!
