Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod Looks Huge!

Coast Guard Beach is looking pretty big lately. A lot of the sand has moved down toward Nauset Spit. It looks so pretty and so expansive!  (Click on blog link for other photo.)

I took the first photo a couple of days ago and the 2nd photo about 3-4 weeks ago. In the first photo you can see Coast Guard Station and the bathhouse. I don’t remember ever being able to see both of those structures so well from that angle and so far away. It seems like the sand is so much higher on Coast Guard Beach, especially down toward the Spit.

This is also the first time in years that we were able to walk all the way to Nauset Spit at high tide. Have you noticed that too? Look how high those dunes are!

The Trail At Hemenway Landing On Cape Cod In Black And White Or Color?

There is a beautiful trail along Nauset Marsh from Hemenway Landing. It’s not very long, but oh, so pretty! (Click on blog link for other photo.)

I can’t decide if I like it better in black and white or in color. What do you think?

The Dunes At First Encounter Beach on Cape Cod Are Getting Steeper.

We took a drive down the beach road at First Encounter Beach and were surprised at how steep the dunes had gotten over the winter.  (Click on blog link for other photos.)

It looks like it would be hard for anyone to climb up there, especially with beach gear.

Not even a footprint in the sand. Have you driven down there lately?
