This Seagull was enjoying his little respite on the empty mooring at Hemenway Landing. Pretty soon the fisherman would be back to claim his mooring and the Seagull would have to give up his perfect spot.
Yesterday was the day for these two fishermen to load up their oyster cages and bring them out to the waters of Nauset Marsh. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
We couldn’t believe how many cages they could load into their boat. Wow! So much hard work for these dedicated fishermen on such a cold and windy day.
You know it’s almost summer when they put the kayak/canoe racks back out at Hemenway Landing. Pretty soon they will be filled with lots of colorful kayaks and canoes waiting to be taken for a ride by excited boaters! Such fun and such a beautiful place to go for a paddle.
It’s time for the lobster pots to be taken out of the water, taken home and gotten ready for next season. These lobster pots were on the shore at Hemenway Landing waiting for someone to come and get them.
It sure signals the end of summer….
