Laughing Gull At Nauset Marsh On Cape Cod

There is this one rock that emerges out of the water on Nauset Marsh when it is low tide and is usually occupied by a Seagull. This particular Laughing Gull was loving it as he stood there for a long time looking for lunch in the water below.

Laughing gulls are very distinctive with their black “hooded” heads and bright orange beaks. They got their name because when they call, they sound just like they are laughing!

You can see this one is starting to get his “winter plumage” of a black beak. His black hood will turn white during the winter months.

Have you ever seen a Laughing gull?

Cute Little Squirrel On Our Deck On Cape Cod

squirrelrose

I keep finding little piles of roses “gone by” on our deck here on Cape Cod. They look almost like a Rosehip but much smaller. And there are always a few little piles strewn about.

So I scouted the other morning and found this little squirrel grabbing a little rose from the bush and jumping on the deck to savor his feast. He did this numerous times and would always feast in a different spot.

Cute little guy, don’t you think?

Gorgeous Morning On Nauset Beach In Orleans On Cape Cod

Yesterday was a gorgeous morning to walk on Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. I was up very early, so I thought I would take advantage of the beautiful morning and go for a walk on the beach. It was cold and windy… but I love wind!

The sun was shining and the sky was so pretty!

Beautiful Day At Chatham Harbor On Cape Cod

There were still a lot of boats in Chatham Harbor a few weeks ago. The sky and the clouds were spectacular for a photo op.

There are many turn-offs from the main road where you can get some pretty good photographs. I took this one off of Route 28 on the way into Chatham. It was such a beautiful day.

Pretty clouds, don’t you think?
