Just about everyone who hikes at Fort Hill passes this rock on the trail. In the summer, a Rose of Sharon flower grows out from the deep crevice. In the winter, it’s just a large glacial rock which makes a nice backdrop if you’re looking across Nauset Marsh toward Coast Guard Station.
I always love hiking Little Cliff Pond at Nickerson. It is so pretty and so diverse. You get views of 3 ponds and so much more. There are even many off-trails for you to explore. Have you ever hiked the Little Cliff Pond Trail?
There is a nice little wheelchair-accessible overlook by the trail at Kent’s Point which was constructed by the Boy Scouts years ago. You can see all the way out to Little Pleasant Bay.
So pretty, don’t you think?
I never get tired of walking the different trails to the beach. Each one is so different. Look at those clouds! And, you can even see some fall colors still in the tall grass.
Do you know where this is?
