We love to hike at Nickerson State Park in Brewster, especially off season when there are no crowds. This hike was so pretty and so diverse. We were both surprised at how much green there still is on the trails. The Bearberry plants on the ground have usually turned reddish-brown by now, but these are still quite green. It’s been so windy this winter here on Cape Cod, it was a treat to see a reflection in the still waters at Little Cliff Pond in Brewster. (Click on blog link to see other photo.)
And then I couldn’t decide if I liked the close-up one or the one a bit farther away. What do you think?
It seems like every hike that we take at Nickerson State Park is a 10! They are all so diverse and there is so much to see. (Click on blog link to see water tower.)
After the torrential rains on Saturday we got up early on Sunday and took a trail near the old water tower. It’s a great hike, but not for the feint of heart! And there are so many different intersecting trails that you can make up your own different itinerary each time you go!
I couldn’t decide which one of these photos of this boathouse I liked better… the close-up or the one a little farther away. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
