You can see this large rock deposited by a glacier many years ago as you hike along Nauset Marsh at Fort Hill on Cape Cod.
As the dense ice glacier moved across the land in this area, many large “glacial” rocks were left behind. This is just one of them down by the marshes.
Ths Song Sparrows are back and singing away on Cape Cod. I saw this little guy in the bush at Fort Hill in Eastham by the Nauset Marsh. His music was so melodic.
Wishing you all a beautiful Easter and hope you can get outside in nature for a little bit today and enjoy all its beauty. Maybe you will hear a Song Sparrow singing to you too!
These were some of the prettiest purple Crocuses that I have seen blooming here on Cape Cod this spring. I just love the variegated petals and the vibrant orange pistil and stamens.
So pretty, don’t you think?
