I saw the colors in the sky changing so I took a walk over to the salt marsh. Was I in for a big treat! I took 3 photographs, each about 35 yards apart as I walked over the salt marsh.(Click on blog link for other photo.)
I couldn’t believe the differences in the 3 sunset views. So pretty, don’t you think? Which one do you like best?
It was a gorgeous view from Fort Hill overlooking Nauset Marsh and out toward Coast Guard Station in the distance. The Goldenrod was in full bloom and so pretty!
The Blue-Eyed Grass wildflower is still blooming in my yard here on Cape Cod. It is such a pretty wildflower with vivid blue petals and bright yellow stamen and pistils.
I was so surprised to see how close this house was to the edge of the dunes at Nauset Light Beach. Wow! You wonder how many more storms it can surviveā¦
It was a gorgeous day to take a walk on Nauset Light Beach and so windy! I walked down the beach toward Marconi and then just decided to sit in the sand and just enjoy the moment… or two…or three… (Click on blog link for other photographs.)
And then I saw these little Sanderlings scurrying along the beach right in front of me. I got my camera out and clicked away. I have not seen any Sanderlings all summer, so this was a big treat.
Such a cute little bird, don’t you think? Keep a lookout on the beaches as they often with spend the winter here.
