The Bearberry ground plants are still green and the little whitish-pink bell-shaped flowers that bloomed from March through June have turned into bright red berries to adorn them in December. They remind me of the holidays!
I’ve seen lots of them along the wooded trails at Nickerson State Park. So pretty, don’t you think? Have you seen any?
We were hiking at Nickerson State Park when I noticed something blue at the top of one of the dead trees in the middle of the trail. At first I thought it was a blue trail marker, but what would it be doing way up there? (Click on blog link for other photo.)
As I got closer and hiked by it, I realized when I turned around that it was a hand-painted seashell that said, “Stay Safe.” It was meant to be seen by hikers going in the opposite direction.
What a wonderful, little thoughtful message that someone placed there for everyone to see. Thank you to whomever put it there. I’m sure it will bring a smile to many people’s faces.
It was a beautiful fall day for a hike at Nickerson State Park in Brewster. There are so many different and diverse trails to choose from, it’s hard to decide which one to take.
This was such a pretty photo with the sun and the blue sky in the background. What do you think?
The fall colors were still beautiful when we hiked Nickerson State Park the other day. I loved this reflection on Little Cliff Pond. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I couldn’t decide if I liked the close-up or the one with a little distance. What do you think?
