These Double-Crested Cormorants were perched on this little float in Stage Harbor in Chatham. They looked so funny! I love how they spread their wings to dry them.

At first I thought they were socially distancing: they’re evenly spaced and the “extra” bird seems to have found his space on the blue float.
But I bet they instinctively allow enough space between each other to spread their wings.
